In the business year 2009, the BMW M GmbH achieved worldwide sales of more than15,000 vehicles. The BMW M GmbH currently employs around 500 people in the areas of development, administration and marketing.

Munich. BMW M GmbH has announced the end of production of the BMW M6 Coupé and the BMW M6 Convertible. The two high-performance models provide the most exclusive opportunity to experience on normal roads the hallmark athleticism of M vehicles combined with drive and chassis technology inspired by the world of motor racing. In total 14,152 examples of these high-performance sports cars were built: 9,087 units of the Coupé, which launched in 2005; and 5,065 Convertible models, presented the following year.

The M1 Hommage show car will be the star of a dazzling two-stand display, alongside the all-new BMW 7 series sedan which makes its Australian debut at Melbourne.

BMW Motorrad Turns 60 Today, December 17 is indeed a day to celebrate

Sixty years ago, on December 17 1948 the first post-war BMW motorcycle rolled off the Munich production line. The single-cylinder R 24 was the motorcycle that would bring BMW back from the brink of extinction.
